Seen. Rooted. Unmistakable.

I’m a personal brand strategist and the founder of Brand With Ayanda.
I work with women entrepreneurs who know they have something valuable to offer, but haven’t quite figured out how to translate that value into a brand that feels clear, cohesive and unmistakably theirs.
And honestly, I think we’ve made personal branding far more complicated than it needs to be.
There is so much advice telling you how to position yourself, what to post, what colours to use, how to sound professional, how often to show your face and what your brand should look like.
Eventually, you can end up with a brand that looks polished from the outside but feels strangely disconnected from the woman running the business.
That’s the problem I’m interested in solving.
“I spent years building my skills and almost none of that time building a brand that actually looked and felt like me. Because nobody had shown me how.”
Before the colours.
Before the fonts.
Before the content calendar.
Before the perfectly curated Instagram grid.
There is a person with a particular way of thinking, a body of knowledge, a collection of experiences, a point of view and a reason for building what she’s building.
That’s where I want to begin.
Because your personal brand shouldn’t require you to erase parts of yourself in order to look professional.
And being authentic doesn’t mean putting your entire life on the internet.
There is a middle ground: intentional self-expression.
Knowing what belongs in your brand, what doesn’t, what makes you different, and how to communicate those things with clarity.
I created Brand With Ayanda because I kept coming back to the same idea:
You shouldn’t have to become someone else to build a brand people remember.
Especially as women, we’re often given very narrow ideas of what professionalism, success and credibility are supposed to look like.
Sometimes that means making ourselves smaller.
Sometimes it means sanding down anything that feels too personal, too cultural, too unconventional or simply too us.
Other times, the reaction is to swing completely in the opposite direction and mistake constant visibility or oversharing for authenticity.
I don’t think either extreme is necessary.
You can be strategic without becoming sterile.
You can be professional without becoming generic.
You can be personal without being exposed.
And you can build a brand that carries your identity without making your identity the only thing people see.
This thinking became the foundation for my approach to personal brand strategy: The Seen Code™.
It’s built around three connected stages:
Decode → Narrate → Elevate
Decode is about understanding who you are, what you stand for, what you know and who you’re here to serve.
Narrate is about turning that clarity into stories, ideas and language your audience can actually recognise and connect with.
Elevate is about translating it all into a visual identity that looks like what your brand sounds like.
Because I don’t see strategy, story and design as separate pieces.
They should speak to one another.
When they do, your brand starts to feel less like something you’ve assembled and more like something that belongs to you.
I’m curious by nature, which means I tend to ask a lot of questions.
Not because I want to make the process complicated, but because the obvious answer isn’t always the right one.
I’ll question the positioning that sounds impressive but doesn’t actually say anything.
I’ll challenge the messaging that could belong to anyone in your industry.
I’ll ask why you’re trying to build your brand a certain way — and whether that choice actually serves you.
Because sometimes the problem isn’t that you need more content, a better logo or another strategy.
Sometimes you simply haven’t stopped long enough to work out what you’re actually trying to say.
That’s where I come in.
You know your expertise but struggle to communicate what makes your perspective different.
You’re tired of looking at other people’s brands and wondering whether yours should look more like theirs.
Your visuals and your message don’t feel like they’re coming from the same person.
You’re growing a business around your expertise and realise that how you’re perceived matters.
You want to be visible without turning yourself into a performance.
And you’re ready to build something that feels considered, intentional and genuinely yours.
You need a clearer one.
My work isn’t about making you the most visible person in your industry.
It’s about helping the right people understand who you are, what you bring to the table and why they should care.
Because when your brand is clear, you don’t have to keep explaining yourself.
Your content becomes easier to create.
Your decisions become easier to make.
Your visual identity has direction.
And showing up starts to feel less like performing and more like communicating.
That’s the kind of brand I want to help you build.
A brand that doesn’t ask you to shrink.
A brand that doesn’t require you to perform.
A brand that looks, sounds and feels like you.
If you’re ready to stop trying to fit your brand into someone else’s mould, I’d love to help you find what makes yours unmistakably yours.
